Sydney Uni American Football Club

The Lions handed the Seahawks their first loss of the season on Saturday night. Sydney Uni jumped out to a 14 point lead and stayed in front of Sutherland the whole way to come home 41-26 victors. The offensive line paved the way for both Alex Watson (133 yards) and Mazen Safkouni (112 yards) to go over 100 yards on the ground, with Safkouni also holding 2 touchdowns through the air.

The Lions will play at the Square, Sydney Uni, again this week against the Central Coast Sharks (kick-off at 7pm) before building to their Homecoming Game against the Bondi Raiders on 25 October. All past players are encouraged to get back to Uni to see the annual clash for the Shovel against the only other remaining foundation club. Again, the Homecoming Game will be under the lights at the Square, Sydney Uni, kick-off at 7pm, with further details on the Homecoming activities to be posted soon.
