The Sydney University Cubs was one of the foundation teams of the NSWGFL Junior Competition in 1994 and has built its own winning tradition. The Cubs have won 5 state championships in 15 years of competition.  The Cubs were a young team in 2008 and, with plenty of returning players, will be looking to make a run for the Gridiron NSW Colts championship in 2009.

The Cubs will start preparation for the 2009 season with returning players being eligible for the "White Shirt" program from November 2008.  Training for the full squad will commence in the first week of January 2009.  The full training program is available on the Calendar page.  Frequently asked questions on playing for the Cubs are answered here.  If you are interested in playing for the Cubs, send an email with your name, address, telephone no. and date of birth to americanfootball@sport.usyd.edu.au or call Andrew Matthews on 0415 261 343.
